Korev lovers win the ultimate surfing experience

Two lucky lager lovers enjoyed a surfing experience money can’t buy after winning a competition held this summer by popular Cornish lager brand Korev.

James Cattanach from Glasgow and Edd Whelband from Leicester enjoyed an exclusive surfing lesson with Britain’s highest ranked surfer and Korev ambassador Luke Dillon in Newquay, as well as scooping a haul of other goodies to take home.

The pair won the amazing prize after being chosen from almost 1,500 other entries in the hugely popular competition, which attracted record entries.

James and Edd travelled down to Cornwall this week to take advantage of their opportunity to learn from Britain’s number one surfer Luke Dillon.

James said: “I was very nervous going into the day as I had never been surfing before, but Luke was very laid back and gave me some great tips to get me started. I’ve definitely got the bug now, and I’m going to start at a surf school in Helensburgh, so I’m really excited for that.”

As well as the surfing lesson with Luke, the winners also received 50 cans of the Cornish lager, a Typhoon wetsuit, a Korev surfboard and a Typhoon surf accessory.

Edd added: “The day was brilliant. I have done some surfing in the past but it was great to get some instruction from Luke, and it was a really great day. I will definitely be making some trips to the coast to test out my skills and use my board, as well as some trips to Devon where we have some family so I can use it then.”
